What it does
- A message as soon as a task is created, changed or ticked off
- A message when a priority is added or completed, a KPI turns red or a reflection is submitted
- Every message signed, so your system knows it comes from Boldcaster
Where it lands in Boldcaster
The message arrives at the address you provide. What you do with it there is up to you: a notification in Slack, a row in a spreadsheet, a task in another system.
Your data
Every message goes to the address the owner provides, and nowhere else. It contains titles, statuses and ids. Tasks from a private project, descriptions, notes and the content of a reflection are not sent.
Who turns it on
Only the owner, in the app under Integrations at Webhooks. They choose the address and tick, per event, what may be sent.
How to use webhooks
- 1The owner opens Integrations in the app and chooses the Webhooks tab.
- 2They create a webhook: a name, the address that receives the message and the events you want to hear about.
- 3Save the signing secret you are shown, and send a test message to see that it arrives.
Example: a message when a task is done
This is the message that arrives at your address when someone ticks off a task. In Make or Zapier you choose a webhook as the starting point and paste in the address they give you.
