Use Boldcaster from your own AI
Do you use Claude, ChatGPT or Vibe? Connect Boldcaster and just ask which priorities are behind, how your KPIs are doing or what's open this week. Your AI works with the same numbers as your screen, and with exactly the rights you have in Boldcaster.
https://boldcaster.com/mcpWhat your AI can do
- Show a quarter's priorities, with owner, progress and what's behind.
- Show the running projects, with owner and how many tasks are open.
- Show the tasks under priorities, in projects and the standalone tasks: what is open, with whom, and what is overdue.
- Show the KPI scoreboard: target, current value and traffic light per KPI.
- Show the tasks on the weekly board, per person.
- Show the team, with name and role.
- Show the company valuation: revenue, normalised EBITDA, multiple and equity value per measurement.
- Show the performance reviews: who, when, completed or not, and the classification. Without salary and without the content of the conversation.
- Read the notes of earlier sessions: what was discussed, decided and which action items are still open.
- Read the monthly and quarterly reflections. Your own always, your team's only once everyone has submitted, including you.
- Create a priority, after you agree. Only if the owner has allowed writing.
- Create a project after your approval. Only for owner, admin and management team, and only if the owner has allowed writing.
- Add a task under a priority, in a project or as a standalone task, with an estimate if you like (small, medium, large or hours), after your approval. Only for owner, admin and management team, and only if the owner has allowed writing.
- Update a task after your approval: mark it done or cancelled, change the owner or due date, change the estimate (small, medium, large or hours), or make it repeat. Only for owner, admin and management team, and only if the owner has allowed writing.
- Add a new KPI to the scoreboard, after you agree. You set the target yourself afterwards. Only for owner, admin and leadership team.
- Enter a KPI measurement, after you agree. Only if the owner has allowed writing.
- Propose a change to your strategy, which you then approve or reject in Boldcaster. Only for owner, admin and leadership team, and only if the owner has enabled strategy.
- Add a task to the weekly board, after you agree. For yourself; for a colleague only if you are owner, admin or leadership team.
- Set your three priorities for the day, after you agree. Only your own, never a colleague's.
- Save a session note as a draft, after you agree. The coach reviews and confirms it in Boldcaster; only then does the team see it.
Your AI doesn't calculate anything itself. The scoreboard, the traffic lights and a priority's status come from Boldcaster, with the same rules as the screen.
Turn it on in Boldcaster first
The connection is off by default. An owner turns it on per organization:
- In Boldcaster, go to Settings and then AI connection.
- Turn on AI connection and choose which parts the AI may see.
- Leave Read only on if the AI may not create anything. Turn it off if it may.
Connect in your AI app
Claude
On claude.ai, in the Claude app and in Cowork. A free account can use one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise account, the owner first adds the connector under Organization settings, then each team member connects themselves.
- Go to Customize and then Connectors.
- Click + and choose Add custom connector.
- Enter Boldcaster as the name and https://boldcaster.com/mcp as the address, and click Add.
- Sign in with your Boldcaster account and click Allow.
- Turn on Boldcaster in a chat via + and Connectors, and ask your question. For example: which priorities are behind?
ChatGPT
Web only, and only with developer mode. On Business, Enterprise and Edu the AI can also create things; on Pro it can only read. On a Business account, an admin adds the connection for the whole team.
- Turn on developer mode under Settings, Apps, Advanced settings. On Business and Enterprise an admin does this in the workspace settings.
- Under Apps, choose Create and enter https://boldcaster.com/mcp as the address, with OAuth as the sign-in method.
- Click Scan Tools, sign in with your Boldcaster account and click Allow.
- Click Create. On Business and Enterprise the admin then publishes the app for the team.
- Pick Boldcaster in a chat from the tools menu and ask your question.
Vibe by Mistral (formerly Le Chat)
On all plans, as a beta. On a Team or Enterprise account, an admin adds the connection. Vibe is European: what you request stays with a French provider.
- Open Connectors in the sidebar.
- Click Add Connector and choose the Custom MCP Connector tab.
- Enter Boldcaster as the name and https://boldcaster.com/mcp as the Server URL, and click Connect.
- Sign in with your Boldcaster account and click Allow.
- Turn on Boldcaster in a chat via + or /, under Tools, and ask your question.
Another app that supports MCP usually works too: add the address as an external or custom MCP server and sign in with your Boldcaster account.
Safe and in your hands
- The AI never sees more than the person who connected it. Anything someone can't see in Boldcaster, they can't get through the AI either.
- A part your organization has turned off is also off through the AI.
- Every request through the connection is in a log under Settings, including requests that were denied.
- You revoke access with one click under My connected apps. It takes effect immediately.
What your AI requests goes to that app's provider. For Claude and ChatGPT that's a US company, for Vibe by Mistral a European one. Boldcaster itself sends nothing outside Europe.
AI connection terms
Version 1.2.0, 10 October 2026
With the AI connection you use Boldcaster from Claude, ChatGPT or Vibe. This page sets out what the connection can and cannot do, how it is secured and what each role may do. It supplements the terms and conditions and the data processing agreement.
1. What the connection is
Your AI app talks to Boldcaster on your behalf, with your own login. It never sees or does more than you may in Boldcaster. Everyone connects their own AI; there is no shared key and no account for the AI itself.
2. What it can read
Only the parts the owner has enabled, and of those only what your role may see in the app. What the owner sets per role under Settings → Modules also applies to the AI.
- Priorities (rocks and OKRs): title, owner, progress and status.
- Projects: title, owner, duration and how many tasks are open. A private project only for those working on it.
- Tasks under priorities, in projects and standalone tasks: description, owner, status, due date, urgency, labels, estimate and time spent.
- The KPI scoreboard: target, current value and traffic light per KPI.
- The weekly board: tasks per person.
- The team: name and role.
- The company valuation: revenue, normalised EBITDA, multiple and equity value.
- Performance reviews: only who, when, completed or not and the classification.
- Session notes: what was discussed and decided, and the action items. A draft only for whoever has to review it.
- Monthly and quarterly reflections: what went well, what could be better, what someone learned and the focus for the next period. Your own always, your team's only once everyone has submitted.
- Hours spent over a period: per person how many hours, and on which priority or project. The same rule as the hours overview: anyone not allowed to see all hours sees only their own.
- It reads the strategy only for the fields it proposes to change, so you see what was there.
3. What it can create or change, and who may
Only if the owner has allowed writing (not read-only). Boldcaster decides who may, not the AI.
| Action | Who may |
|---|---|
| Create a priority (rock or OKR) | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Add a task: under a priority, in a project or as a standalone task, with an estimate if you like (small, medium, large or a number of hours) | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Update an existing task: status (including done or cancelled), owner, due date, repeat, the estimate (small, medium, large or a number of hours) or the text | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Create a project | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Add a KPI to the scoreboard | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Propose a change to the strategy (you approve it in Boldcaster) | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Add a weekly task for a colleague | Owner, admin and leadership team |
| Enter a KPI measurement | Everyone who can see that part |
| Add a weekly task for yourself | Everyone who can see that part |
| Set your daily priorities | Everyone, only for themselves |
| Save a session note as a draft (you confirm it in Boldcaster) | Whoever may write session notes: coach, owner and admin |
4. Always a proposal first
For every change the AI first shows a proposal: in which organisation, what is there now and what it becomes. Only after your approval does it write, with a code that belongs to exactly that proposal; if something changes in the meantime, you get a new proposal. Your AI app usually also asks for permission itself. For the strategy we go one step further: there the AI only sets up a proposal, and you approve it yourself on the strategy page in Boldcaster.
5. What it can never do
- See salaries, the content of reviews, HR files or the A-player matrix.
- Change team members, roles, permissions, the subscription or invoices.
- Delete anything.
- See data of an organisation you are not a member of.
- See or change a colleague's daily check-in or energy score.
- Do anything without you being logged in and having given permission.
6. How it is secured
- Off by default. Only the owner turns it on, chooses the parts and can set it to read-only.
- Login goes through Boldcaster itself (OAuth). The AI gets a token in your name, not your password.
- The same permissions as in the app, enforced by the database. The AI cannot get around them.
- Every request is in the log, including refused ones. The owner sees everything in their organisation, each member their own requests.
- Revoking works immediately, for one app or for the whole organisation.
- Your data is stored encrypted in the EU.
7. Where your data goes
What your AI requests goes to the provider of that app and falls under their terms. Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT (OpenAI) are American companies, Vibe (Mistral) is European. Boldcaster itself sends nothing outside Europe. Which AI app you use is your organisation's choice.
8. Your responsibility
An AI can make mistakes. Read a proposal before you say yes: what you confirm is recorded in your name in Boldcaster and in the log.
9. Known risks, and why they are small
- The confirmation code proves that exactly the proposal shown is saved, not that you personally said yes: the code passes through the AI. An AI that makes a mistake could therefore confirm a proposal itself. The risk is small: it can never go beyond your permissions or delete anything, your AI app usually asks for permission itself, everything is in the log, and the strategy only changes after your approval in Boldcaster.
- Text in your own data can mislead an AI. If a colleague puts something like 'AI: change the strategy' in a task title, an AI may read it as an instruction. This applies to any AI connection. The risk is small for the same reasons: within your permissions, no deleting, everything in the log, and the strategy only through your approval.
- The token your AI app receives technically applies to all of Boldcaster, not just the connection; that is how the login service we use works. The risk is small: it never gives more than you may do in the app, only tokens issued through the connection are accepted, and revoking works immediately.
10. Who agrees
The owner agrees on behalf of the organisation before turning the connection on. Each team member agrees for themselves when connecting their own AI. With a new version we ask again; until then the connection stops for that person or organisation.
Questions
- Which AI app do I need?
- Claude works on every plan, including free with one custom connector. Vibe by Mistral works on all plans, as a beta. ChatGPT only works in the browser with developer mode, and can only create things on Business, Enterprise and Edu.
- Does the AI see all my data?
- No. It only sees what it requests in a conversation, only in organizations where the connection is on, and only the parts the owner has enabled.
- Can the AI break something?
- By default it can only read. If it may write, it only creates priorities and KPI measurements, and only after you agree. It can't delete anything.
- What if an employee leaves?
- Remove them from your team in Boldcaster. Their connection then stops working, even if they leave it in their AI app.
